The Inta Leak Sense

Activ by Inta is heading to InstallerSHOW with two products designed to give installers a stronger conversation with their customers and the opportunity for a common-sense upsell. Activ Leak Sense is a leak detection and automatic shut-off system sensitive enough to pick up a dripping cistern. ActivFlo is the company’s catalytic water conditioner range for hard water areas. Both have been chosen for the stand because they answer problems homeowners already understand, and both can turn a routine job into a higher-value sale.

Activ Leak Sense is the headline. The system detects micro leaks down to 0.033 litres per minute. That sensitivity matters because the leaks that waste the most water are the ones nobody sees. A leaking WC cistern can quietly lose more than 8,000 litres a year, and a dripping tap around 31,500 litres. Activ Leak Sense identifies anything with the signature of a burst pipe, hidden leak or tap left running. When it spots a problem it raises an alert through the app and automatically shuts off the water supply.

For installers, that gives a clear prevention story for both domestic and commercial work. Activ Leak Sense is WRAS approved, meets the requirements of CIREG Section 6 for Managing Escape of Water Risk on construction sites, and contributes to BREEAM’s WAT 03 Water Leak Detection credit. These are credentials that open the door to specifier and new-build conversations as well as retrofit. On site, the unit connects using Wi-Fi, and an optional hard-wired remote alarm with disarm and rearm controls is available for properties where an app-only solution is not appropriate.

Alongside it, ActivFlo answers one of the most common complaints in hard water postcodes. Unlike salt-based softeners, ActivFlo uses a catalytic process to change the structure of hard water without salts, chemicals or electricity. That means no power supply, no consumables, no ongoing cost to the homeowner, and no maintenance once it’s fitted. The conditioner prevents new scale forming, breaks down existing deposits over time, and leaves the water’s natural mineral content intact. Most installations take under thirty minutes.

The range now includes ActivFlo+, designed specifically for installations where 22mm pipework can’t achieve the flow rate a standard 22mm unit needs. ActivFlo+ runs at a lower operational flow rate and ships with 15mm reducers in the box, giving installers a single product that solves both scenarios. ActivFlo has been on the UK market since 2017 and is manufactured in Britain.

Stuart Gizzi, Director at Activ by Inta, said: “These are the two conversations installers tell us they have most often: water damage and limescale. Activ Leak Sense detects micro leaks that would otherwise go unnoticed, and ActivFlo deals with hard water without asking the customer to take on salt, power or maintenance. Both give the installer something concrete to offer beyond the original job, and both are easy to justify to the householder because the benefit is obvious from day one.”

Activ by Inta is exhibiting at InstallerSHOW at the NEC Birmingham from 23 to 25 June 2026 on stand 5B60.
