HCRG Care Group awarded new six-year contract to deliver Cheshire West and Chester Sexual Health Service

HCRG Care Group is proud to announce it has been directly awarded a new six-year contract to continue delivering the Cheshire West and Chester Sexual Health Service.

The contract, which begins on 1st April 2026, marks a significant milestone as it is the first time the organisation has secured a contract through the new Provider Selection Regime without undergoing a competitive procurement process.

Commissioned by Cheshire West and Chester Council, the award recognises the high-quality care and support consistently delivered by the service and the strength of the relationships built with local communities and partner organisations.

Pat Birchall, CEO of HCRG Care Group, said: “This is an incredible achievement and a testament to the dedication and commitment of our team.

“Being directly awarded this contract not only reflects the confidence the council has in us but also gives us the opportunity to continue transforming services and making a real difference in the lives of people in Cheshire West and Chester.”

Professor Helen Bromley, Director of Public Health at Cheshire West and Chester Council said: “HCRG Care Group demonstrates consistent high performance and receives positive feedback from borough residents.

“Awarding the contract to them for a further six years means we can ensure people have uninterrupted access to a high quality, confidential and inclusive sexual health service.

“I’d also like to thank residents who took part in our survey in 2024 about the sexual health services in the borough, as your feedback helped us to make our decision.”

HCRG Care Group will continue to provide accessible, inclusive, and innovative sexual health services, building on its existing work and deepening collaboration with stakeholders across the region.

A range of support is available in the borough as part of the service, including sexual health advice, sexually transmitted infections testing and treatment, and contraception.

The service is available at a main hub at the Fountains in Chester and satellite clinics in Winsford, Northwich, Ellesmere Port, Blacon and Neston. For more information about the services available in the borough, visit: thesexualhealthhub.co.uk or call: 0300 247 0020.
