We’re Hiring: Account Exec
Reeves is a proper PR agency — one that still believes in ideas, relationships and hard graft. We’ve been telling great stories since 2009, and as we head into our 16th year, we’re looking for a bright, capable Account Executive who wants to learn fast and make a real impact.
We’re a small, hands-on team led by a very involved director, working for clients across the built environment, food, retail, education and public and charity sectors. They trust us because we know their worlds, ask good questions and deliver work that gets noticed.
You’ll help make that happen — writing releases, chasing journalists, planning shoots, managing social channels and getting genuinely involved in the creative process. It’s the kind of job where you’ll learn more in a month than some people manage in a year, because you’ll actually see things through from idea to result.
We’re office-based in Birmingham city centre, because collaboration, mentoring and the spark of good ideas don’t happen over email. If your whole world sits within two metres of where you sleep, this probably isn’t the role for you. But if you’re ambitious, sociable and want to succeed in a team that genuinely backs you, you’ll fit right in.
Reeves is a PRCA National Workplace Champion, recognised for how we treat people, not just the work we deliver. We’re also working towards B Corp certification, reflecting our commitment to doing business responsibly and sustainably. We take training and wellbeing seriously, but we also expect commitment and curiosity in return.
You’ll need to have
• At least two years’ experience in PR or communications (agency preferred)
• Curiosity about news, people and how stories travel
• Strong writing, editing and organisational skills
• Confidence talking to clients, journalists and colleagues alike
• The judgement to know when even one emoji is too many 😉
• The ability to pass an enhanced DBS check (some client work is in schools and care settings)
• A driving licence is desirable – not all our clients are on bus routes
What you’ll get
• A respectable salary, good holiday entitlement and private healthcare
• Real responsibility and visibility from day one
• Mentoring and formal training through PRCA and other providers
• Exposure to national-level campaigns and senior professionals who’ll actually know your name
• A close-knit team that values professionalism, humour and a bit of perspective when things get hectic
If you want to be part of an agency that still answers the phone, meets people, and produces work you can be proud of, we’d like to hear from you.
