HCRG Care Group recognised with Armed Forces Covenant Bronze Award

The UK’s largest specialist community health care provider has been awarded the Armed Forces Covenant Bronze Award, marking a milestone in its work to support veterans, reservists and Armed Forces families across its workforce.

The work was led by Sue Prior, Recruitment Lead at HCRG Care Group, who coordinated the organisation’s Covenant commitments and engagement with the Ministry of Defence, helping embed support for the Armed Forces community across recruitment and workforce practices.

As part of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme process, HCRG Care Group was recently visited by Tony Matthews, National Account Manager for Defence Relationship Management at the Ministry of Defence, to review progress and discuss the organisation’s pathway towards the Silver and Gold awards.

Val Scrase, Regional Director at HCRG Care Group, said: “This award recognises the work we’re doing to ensure colleagues from Armed Forces backgrounds feel supported, understood and valued at HCRG Care Group. It’s an important step, and we’re committed to building on this as we work towards Silver and Gold.”

The award comes less than two years after HCRG Care Group signed the Armed Forces Covenant and reflects the organisation’s commitment to turning that pledge into practical support for colleagues and patients from Armed Forces backgrounds.
